- Advanced Photo System - Classic Denotes sensor normally 25.1mm x 16.7mm, snaller than full frame sensors. These sensors are currently used in mid range cameras.

- Central Processing Unit Denotes a processor, that is an electronic component which is able to execute more or less complex calculations. So called CPU contacts some lenses are equipped with are electric contacts which allow information exchange between lens and camera body.

|
- Full Frame Denotes sensors having the same size as photographic films (36mm x 24mm). These sensors are currently used on high range cameras.
